The subject of the Laboratory is the design and the aerodynamic analysis of air vehicles using computational or other methods. Emphasis is also placed on the development of computational methods in Fluid Mechanics.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Teaching<\/b><\/p>\n

The courses supported by the Laboratory apply to both \u00a0Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineers. The subject areas that are taught are:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Aircraft and Helicopter Design<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Aerodynamics<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Compressible Flow<\/p>\n

4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Computational Fluid Dynamics<\/p>\n

5) \u00a0 \u00a0 Advanced Computational Aerodynamics<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Research<\/b><\/p>\n

The Laboratory\u2019s research areas are:<\/p>\n

Aerodynamic Design, Aircraft and Helicopter Design, Computational Methods, \u00a0Applied Fluid Mechanics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Equipment\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

The Laboratory\u2019s hardware equipment is composed of computers in a modern working environment.<\/p>\n
