LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course is selective and is offered in the 2nd semester of studies.

Objectives of the course:

  • Definition of the concepts and specific characteristics of technical text
  • Recognition of the role and importance of writing good technical texts
  • Acquiring knowledge about the structure, organization and aesthetics of the technical text – Learning Writing Techniques
  • Acquiring knowledge about bibliographic search and organizing/evaluating bibliographic references – Learn about plagiarism issues
  • Learning oral presentation techniques for presenting technical papers, projects, research results, etc.
  • Acquiring practical experience by writing and finally presenting a complete technical text

Upon successful completion of the course the student will:

  • Be aware of the role and importance of technical writing
  • Have acquired knowledge and experience on writing techniques
  • Be able to organize the bibliographic research and exploit its results
  • Become familiar with oral presentation techniques
